I absolutely adore the Peak District and any chance I have to do photos there is fantastic. I just love it. It was my first trip to Curbar Edge. It was the Easter Bank Holiday 2018, the Beast from the East had gone - for now! The weather was gloriously sunny with gorgeous blue skies! There was a bit of a breeze but hey that just adds in a little drama even if it does blow your hair around. I thought Lauren looked stunning in her floaty skirt, just a really lovely couple to chat too and photograph. I really couldn’t wait to be a part of their wedding day!

I was meeting Lauren and Andrew at their wedding venue, the stunningly beautiful Maynard Hotel, in Grindleford, North Derbyshire. I was so excited as I’d only spoken to them over the telephone. So it was great to meet them in person.

Lauren is originally from Connecticut, US and Andy from Derbyshire. They met during a back-packing trip in Australia and continued their travels together before Lauren got her Visa and moved to the UK to be with Andy. As it’s such a small world, Andy is the cousin in law to my dear friend George!

As with everything, I prefer to seek the light and then let my couple’s be natural with little direction from me! Here are a few of my favourites taken that afternoon!
