Pre-wedding Photoshoot - Carvers Rocks, Ticknall

It was a wintery day with snow forecast - yes the Beast from the East was upon us. It was cold but nice. This was the day I was to meet Ben and Jamie for their pre-wedding/engagement photoshoot. We had planned to go to Carsington Water but the weather kind of put us off if heavy snow was to fall. I certainly didn’t fancy getting stuck, plus Ben had to drive to Portsmouth that day too!

Anyway we settled for somewhere local near water and quiet and that place would be Carvers Rocks, in Ticknall. I used to play here often as a young girl, it was very much an adventure and therefore hadn’t been here for a couple of years. It is now a Wildlife Reserve with some excellent walks with some leading to Foremark Reservoir.

I love photographing a more lifestyle approach with a little direction rather than heavily posed. I want my client’s to feel relaxed in more natural poses if they want this. It was the first time meeting Ben and Jamie who were really lovely. Here are just a few from the photoshoot.
