Less posing. More feeling.
Documentary wedding photography for couples who want to remember how it felt.
No forced moments. No endless posing. Just your wedding day as it actually feels; the laughter, the chaos, the quiet moments and everything in between.
I blend into the background when the moments are unfolding naturally, stepping in with gentle direction when it helps so you can stay present, connected and enjoy the people you're there to celebrate with.
As a wedding photographer for 10 years, I absolutely adore capturing the quiet, heartfelt moments of intimate weddings, elopements, and micro celebrations. These smaller, beautifully personal days allow me to focus on the little details, the genuine laughter, and the fleeting moments that make your celebration uniquely yours.
I also photograph a select number of full-day weddings, capturing your story from the morning preparations through to the evening celebrations. Whether it’s a few hours or a full day, my approach is the same: natural, storytelling photography that preserves the emotion, joy and memories of your wedding day.
For couples who want to be present, not perform.
If you’re not looking for a day of staged moments or being constantly directed, you’re in the right place.
I work with couples who want to be fully present in their wedding day while I document it as it naturally unfolds, stepping in with gentle direction when it helps but never taking over.
The big moments matter but so do the small, often unnoticed ones: the way your friends look at you, the laughter during speeches, the calm before everything begins and those little smiles and glances you share without even realising.
My role is to preserve all of it honestly, naturally and unobtrusively so when you look back at your photographs, you don't just remember what happened. You remember how it felt.
Hey! I’m Tracey, a Derbyshire-based documentary wedding photographer capturing intimate weddings and elopements, capturing your day exactly as it naturally unfolds. From quiet, heartfelt moments to the laughter and little details that make your day uniquely yours, my documentary style lets you enjoy your wedding without feeling posed or pressured.
Friendly, relaxed and here to make your day effortless, I focus on storytelling photography full of joy, connection and a sprinkle of fun. While intimate weddings are my speciality, I also photograph select full-day celebrations, capturing your story however long your day may be, exactly as it happens.
I love photographing couples who want their day captured naturally, with emotion and personality. If you’re looking for heavily posed, ultra flashy Vogue-esque editorial-style images or a full-on fashion photoshoot fit for Harpers Bazaar (and yes I love this magazine too), I might not be the right fit. But if you want a photographer who tells your story as it unfolds, the honest approach, loves a little creativity, celebrates the little moments and makes the experience feel relaxed and effortless, we’re probably a perfect match.
The best photographs often happen when you're fully present in the moment, laughing with friends, hugging family and celebrating with the people you love most.
Whether you're planning an intimate wedding, a relaxed countryside celebration or a full wedding day with everyone you hold dear, my approach remains the same: documenting your day naturally, without awkward posing or constant interruptions.
The result is a collection of timeless photographs that feel genuine, emotional and true to your story.
