UK documentary wedding photographer capturing honest, natural moments so you can stay fully present.

I photograph wedding days as they unfold; the laughter, the quiet moments and the in-between glances. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive, with gentle guidance when it helps, allowing you to stay present and enjoy your day exactly as it feels.

As a wedding photographer for 10 years, I absolutely adore capturing the quiet, heartfelt moments of intimate weddings, elopements, and micro celebrations. These smaller, beautifully personal days allow me to focus on the little details, the genuine laughter, and the fleeting moments that make your celebration uniquely yours.

I also photograph a select number of full-day weddings, capturing your story from the morning preparations through to the evening celebrations. Whether it’s a few hours or a full day, my approach is the same: natural, storytelling photography that preserves the emotion, joy and memories of your wedding day.

For couples who want to be present, not posed

If you’re not looking for a day of staged moments or constant direction, you’re in the right place.

I work with couples who want to experience their wedding fully while I quietly document it as it naturally unfolds.

The big moments matter but so do the small, often unnoticed ones: the way your friends look at you, the laughter during speeches, the calm just before everything begins. The way you look at each other, those smiles and little glances.

My role is to preserve all of it, honestly and unobtrusively.

Hey! I’m Tracey, a Derbyshire-based documentary wedding photographer capturing intimate weddings and elopements, capturing your day exactly as it naturally unfolds. From quiet, heartfelt moments to the laughter and little details that make your day uniquely yours, my documentary style lets you enjoy your wedding without feeling posed or pressured.

Friendly, relaxed and here to make your day effortless, I focus on storytelling photography full of joy, connection and a sprinkle of fun. While intimate weddings are my speciality, I also photograph select full-day celebrations, capturing your story however long your day may be, exactly as it happens.

I love photographing couples who want their day captured naturally, with emotion and personality. If you’re looking for heavily posed, ultra flashy Vogue-esque editorial-style images or a full-on fashion photoshoot fit for Harpers Bazaar (and yes I love this magazine too), I might not be the right fit. But if you want a photographer who tells your story as it unfolds, the honest approach, loves a little creativity, celebrates the little moments and makes the experience feel relaxed and effortless, we’re probably a perfect match.

Here’s how it could look:

I focus on the quiet, meaningful moments that make your day yours from the laughter, the hugs, the in-between glances and all the small details that tell the full story of your wedding.

I’m drawn to natural light and the way it shapes emotion throughout the day - soft, cinematic and ever-changing. I use this to guide how I see and document your story, always working with what’s there rather than creating what isn’t.

These are the moments you’ll return to for years to come, the ones that feel honest, familiar and true to how it all really was.

To the left, a white wedding gown with lace and tulle is hanging, partially visible. The room has beige furniture and curtains.

For weddings that are felt, not staged
