Branston Pavilion - Branston Golf & Country Club Wedding Photography
After the cold spell and snow, the Easter weekend was here and it was time to photograph, Ben and Jamie’s wedding. I was really excited as it was my first ever same sex wedding and I was so happy for these guys.
I met with Ben at the Mercure Newton Park Hotel in Newton Solney where he was getting ready, with Rob attending Jamie’s parent’s house in Linton to photograph Jamie. It was all champagne and smiles and the girls were laughing and cracking jokes all of the time. Purple and green were the colours chosen by the grooms. Ben with the purple, Jamie with the green.
Once both Ben and Jamie were ready, myself and Rob headed off to The Pavilion at Branston Golf and Country Club were the ceremony and reception were being held. It’s always great working at The Pavilion as they are so organised, efficient and look after everybody there. The room is light and airy with plenty of space, so perfect for a wedding ceremony. Due to the recent weather and the up and down of temperatures, Ben and Jamie opted for an indoor celebration. Both arrived in different cars but they walked down the aisle together, smiling and looking so wonderfully happy.
After an emotional vow exchange, more sparkly stuff was given out and off we went to do the couple’s photographs of their family and friends. Oh my, the cake, check out the Penguin cake - how adorable!!
The speeches were again touching and emotional as well as a few good belly laughs along the way. Jamie’s brother and his little sister couldn’t help but share their emotions on such a happy day. Jamie was leaving the village he’d grown up in to start married life in Portsmouth as Ben’s new business venture had taken off so well there! It was a fabulous day and one I was humbled to be a part of.
Here’s a little slideshow of their special day followed by some of my favourite photographs. Congratulations to you both xx
