Belbroughton Wedding - Holy Trinity Church & Bell Inn, Worcestershire

Going back through my archives, I found this beautiful wedding that took place in the little village of Belbroughton in Worcestershire. One thing that makes this wedding so memorable was that the couple lived a stone’s throw away from the church and of course, one of the village pubs where their reception would be held so it was very eco-friendly transportation wise.

I’ve never been to Belbroughton before so this was an exciting photography trip for me. It’s such a quaint, pretty village. I don’t get to do much wedding photography in the West Midlands so it’s always lovely to go somewhere new without travelling hundreds of miles.

The morning began photographing Jayne’s latter stage of the bridal preps and she looked every bit fabulous. It may have been raining when she had to leave for the ceremony but honestly, nothing could have dampened her spirits. Her smile is so warming and beautiful. The guests arrived with umbrellas coupled with smiles too. ‘You can book the wedding but not the weather’ a few of them said as they arrived. As everything was in the same village, we’d managed to catch up with Alan at the church prior to going back to see Jayne. It was so close to home, it was a two minute stroll.

Thankfully the rain eased off (yay) and the confetti shoot was a go, I mean I always try and get it done regardless unless it’s torrential lol… then it’s not going ahead outdoors for sure! Wow, there was so much of it, it was brilliant. I love confetti shots but there has to be plenty of it to make it some dramatic. Once the more formal family photos had taken place, the guests made their way to nearby pub The Bell Inn. Back then, it was a marquee but now it has a fully functional brick barn, which does look stunning! The cake was one of Cheese which I love. Don’t you just love cheese? I’m a huge cheese foodie kinda gal. Once at the venue the guests could chill out, drink wine and listen to three great speeches. Once those had been done it was time to party then we had to go home. What a fabulous day though. A wedding I’ll just never forget!!

I hope to do another wedding in Belbroughton one day, so if you’re a bride looking for a fun, relaxed wedding photographer, then get in touch for a little friendly chat! I’d love to hear your plans.
