The Mill Barns wedding venue sets a new standard for barn wedding venues in the UK. This waterfront venue offers couples exclusive use of three magnificent oak framed wedding barns with luxury onsite accommodation. Located within 8 acres of mature landscaped gardens and mesmerising water features with a walkway to stunning outdoor terraces.

Another visit to this beautiful place working alongside the lovely Samantha J Photography once again. I was commissioned to photograph the groom and document the day in my usual style. One day I hope to work here as the main photographer one day capturing beautiful weddings in my relaxed documentary style.

So my day began with a few setting the scene shots followed by the groom prep - I’m not kidding you, the bridal suite is super stunning! I will certainly have to get an image of it next time I’m there!! I then documented the wedding, from the balcony at the back of the room to give an alternative angle on the event. One of my favourites is the confetti shot from the balcony. It was then doing my usual stuff of documenting guests as they all say hello to each other. I left the wedding just after the speeches. It is quite usual for second photographers to leave at this point. I know some of mine do. In fact 2021 I did a lot of weddings where I wasn’t needed for the anything beyond the speeches. Since the whole pandemic I think people’s perceptions of what really matters has changed. So I’ve covered a lot of smaller weddings which is just wonderful.
