Engagement Photoshoot with Chris & Pip - Beacon Hill. Leicestershire

It was the first time meeting with Chris and Pip. I’d spoken to Chris many times over the phone and exchanged emails but we’d never actually met! So one November morning/early afternoon I went over to Beacon Hill in Leicestershire (one of Chris and Pip’s favourite walks) to do their pre-wedding/engagement photoshoot. This is a great opportunity as it means I get to know the a bit more and they can just relax around me!

If you’ve never been to Beacon Hill Country Park, it is a beautiful place and great for photography. It is also great for walks, taking the children or simply when the weather is right, a lovely outdoor picnic. It is pay and display but it costs around £2.00-£3.00 to park so just have some change available if you do go and park in the car-park.

Anyway, meeting Chris and Pip such a lovely, genuine happy smiley couple who are deeply in love and just want to have fun in life. So with that in mind that is what we did. Being a wedding photographer based near Leicestershire, this place is less than a 40 minute drive from my home and also I am always up for some fun rather than keeping things all formal. I like to be creative and yes I will climb a tree if needed when I have a vision in mind for a particular shot! I’ve always been on the bonkers side….

So the pre-wedding/engagement shoot went really, really well and we just had a whole lot of fun keeping everything relaxed and as natural as possible with little direction from me other than to put my crazy ideas of fun to the test. So here’s a few images from that session… the lighting was just right! A few weeks later the wedding would take place at Mythe Barn in Atherstone. I was really excited about going back there again!
