Mythe Barn Wedding Photography in Leicestershire

Wow, it so feels like a Friday today - it’s not, it’s Thursday! Weird but I think we all have days like this don’t we?

While I write this short blog, I’m listening to a pod-cast, again something new to me. How have I never listened to podcasts before? Probably because I never sourced them until very recently.

Today, I’d love to share the wedding of Pip and Chris who were married at the gorgeous Mythe Barn an all exclusive wedding venue near Atherstone. It’s one of those venues where you just fall in love with it. It’s light, airy, the staff were all so friendly and helpful and it truly is a stunning place and I can understand how it gets booked up quickly!

The day began with the bridal and groom preps whereby I had my lovely second shooter Christina assisting me and capturing the groom preps. Working as a wedding photographer, I love having a second photographer around on weddings I am shooting. I love the company and a second shooter can get angles I can’t plus I can’t be in two places at once.

The bridal preps were all giggles and prosecco with Pip’s daughter doing a grand job of Pips hair. Pip looked stunning in her figure hugging dress and Chris definitely thought so when they did their first look. As for the guys, they looked very dapper and smart in their suits!

The ceremony tool place in the Oak Barn a beautiful room with wooden beams, balcony and huge window to the front! A reading was given both by the bride’s father and the best man was the Chris’ (the groom) son. Between them they gave us many laughs. Sadly the weather was not on our side and it was a December wedding so lighting was going to be an issue with the ceremony not taking place until 3.00pm but honestly as a photographer I just went with the flow and used all available lighting to me. Christina was very kind by loaning me her Strobe light (looks a bit like a lightsaber) to light the couples portraits outside.

This was a fantastic wedding to be part of with one very special couple who were so in love you could see it in every look, they were fun and enjoyed life. I’m so happy to share this wedding with you all. If you’re planning a wedding at Mythe Barn and looking for a photographer, then please do get in touch if my style fits.

Here’s a short slideshow and some of my favourite photos from that day!
