A December Wedding at The Mill Barns - Shropshire Wedding Photography
Featuring my last wedding of 2018 where I was once again working with the lovely Sam Pommells of www.samantha-j-co.uk. Sam needed an extra pair of hands to cover the groom prep until the happy couple and their guests sat down for dinner. This was my first ever visit to the Mill Barns to shoot a wedding.
My day started with the groom prep which was in the actual bridal suite. Oh my, wow what a gorgeous suite this is. Such a beautiful room with an enormous bath tub situated next to a huge window with private views!
After the groom prep it was time for me to shoot some candid/reportage stuff of guests arriving and the ceremony room. So the wedding itself took place in the main barn room and I was able to easily access the balcony to shoot my angle from there, keeping well out of the way of Sam. The room itself is beautiful and couples have the opportunity to dress it as they wish (within reason of course). My role as a second photographer is to capture a different angle without getting in the way of the main photographer. Going back to the balcony, it is a great view from up there with freedom to move around without becoming a distraction but I do this sparingly of course!
Confetti is not allowed outside so guests are able to adorn the happy couple with confetti as they walk down the aisle as husband and wife. It was back to shooting reportage of guests mingling, chatting and giving their congrats to the bride and groom with a lot of hugs and kisses along the way! Then Sam and I went outside to do some couple portraits in the December sunshine. Such a beautiful day for a lovely couple and a great end to my first visit to the Mill Barns Wedding venue in Shropshire. Here is a collection of images from that day.
