St Peter's Church Hartshorne & Oaklands Swadlincote Wedding- Derbyshire Wedding Photography

Still catching up with last summer’s weddings and nearly there…

Back in September last year, I photographed the wedding of Fiona and Rob. It was a lovely local late afternoon wedding with the ceremony at the couple’s Parish Church of St Peter’s in Hartshorne village, Derbyshire.

I went to meet up with Fiona at home to photograph the last of the bridal preparations. Fiona and Rob have some very interesting pets, which I couldn’t resist a photo or two. While I was here, Steve Bloor, my second shooter for the day photographed the groom and best man over at The Unicorn Inn, Newton Solney with to get their last minute touches. It was nice to see Jon Paul Menswear as well who are just great at ensuring the suits, ties and buttonholes look smart.

Fiona had chosen a beautiful wedding gown from the lovely Lori G Bridal in Derby - check out the dress it is truly stunning in a beautiful Champagne colour with plenty of sparkly detail as well as being perfectly fitted before cascading to layers of tulle. Fiona looked amazing wearing it.

The ceremony was at 3.00pm and officiated by Rev’d Graham Rutter who is always lovely to work alongside of. So I positioned myself up on the balcony while Steve remained at the rear of the church.

After the ceremony we did the usual formals at the church before heading off for a little time away with Fiona & Rob to Eureka Park for some couple photos. The sun shone and it was really, really relaxed. After, we went off the reception venue at Oakland Village, Swadlincote for the remaining celebrations, speeches and dancing. I’m so glad that Fiona and Rob chose me to photograph their wedding day - it meant such a lot to them and it was a very relaxed wedding with lovely people at a venue I’d not previously worked at.

Here is a Slideshow showcasing their wedding story - enjoy! :)
