St Helen's Church, Ashby - Reception Amalfi White, Melbourne, Derbyshire
It was the hottest day of the year last June when Michelle and Matt tied the knot. My day began with the bridal preparations at Michelle's parent's house in Ashby. Rob working as my second for an hour or so was heading straight to the church to get guest arrivals and photograph Matt.
I love doing bridal preparations, it's a great way for the bride to simply relax without stressing while I document what is happening. I was very well looked after by Michelle's parents that morning supplying me with cups of tea and water. Michelle's bridal dress was stunning and she looked amazing in it.
The ceremony was too take place at St Helen's Church in the heart of Ashby De La Zouch, Leicestershire. A first photographing a wedding here and it's always great to be local to home in nearby Midway, Derbyshire. It was a lovely ceremony with Michelle being given away traditionally by her father.
After photos at the church, we headed to Amalfi White in Melbourne, Derbyshire for the wedding breakfast. En-route we nipped to Melbourne Lake for some photos with some very interesting guests as you will see. I photographed a few details and then left the wedding party to enjoy their antipasto. It was a beautiful day with lots of emotion, love and excitement and one I'm thankful for, for sharing photographically!
