Liverpool Parish Church & Hilton Liverpool Hotel Wedding

Going through a few archives of past weddings and had to share the fabulous wedding of Sarah & Daniel who got hitched in the heart of Liverpool City. A wedding I’ll never forget as I’ve never actually been to Liverpool - apart from a few visits to Anfield over the years.

Working alongside friend Carrie, I met up with bride Sarah at Peaches & Cream salon where she was having her hair and make-up done. Once these were complete, I dropped Sarah and Carrie back off at The Hilton, where I then headed over to where Daniel was getting ready with his groomsmen. A lot of laughs at the groom prep and Daniel a self confessed Evertonian taking on some of the ole LFC/Everton banter, which always breaks the ice in a funny way. I know how passionate football fans can be over their clubs, as I live with two football mad LFC fans.

The Liverpool Parish Church of Our Lady & St Nicholas

Very conveniently located next to a car-park with excellent directions from the groomsmen on how to find it. Wow what a church - beautifully stunning with the sun shining and perfect for such a lovely bride and groom so I can see why they chose this church. The gardens are just stunning too…Sarah’s grandfather was to give her away and a grand job he did too. Such a beautiful ceremony which I photographed from the balcony at the rear of the church.

After the ceremony it was time for everyone to say their hellos and hugs in the gardens as well as the more formal/less formal photos and the all important confetti throw down the steps.

The Liverpool Hilton

Onto the reception down at the Liverpool Hilton home of all things LFC. A beautiful staircase awaited to the room where the celebrations would continue with singing waiter duo father and daughter, dancing and lots of mingling. A short trip to the Albert Docks with the guys was great and much fun. A little part of me fell in love with Liverpool and I really can’t wait to go back be it a wedding, a weekend away or simply the football, I really don’t mind. I just want to go back and experience the full cultural side of the city of Liverpool.

So if you are planning a Liverpool wedding, love my easy going style of photography and in need of a friendly photographer, let’s chat! PS. You don’t have to like football…..I much prefer horses and dressage ;) x
