Engagement/Maternity Photoshoot at Elvaston Castle & Country Park

Meeting Michelle and Adam for the first time at the beautiful Elvaston Castle Country Park one summer’s evening for their engagement shoot session, just 10 days before they were to say ‘I do’. How exciting!!

Before I forget, I just want to mention that I love doing photography at Elvaston Castle as it’s so varied and has lots of space and variation, so yes it is one of my suggested places if you’re local to the area.

Michelle and Adam had an intimate wedding booked as Michelle was 22 weeks pregnant with twins but they hadn’t got a photographer booked, so after an exchange of messages, I was booked.

As I explained to Michelle and Adam that the purpose of the engagement photoshoot was simply to get them used to the camera. I knew that Michelle had hesitations of being in front of the camera but she was reassured all the way that all was great and the same eventually with Adam too. it is weird having some random person, who you’ve just met, thrust a camera in your face and tell you to relax and have fun with it all. In the end though, it was a great experience plus Michelle and Adam received some beautiful memories to share with their twins once they’re old enough. That’s what this job is all about, creating memories!
