Hazelwood Church & Marquee Wedding - Duffield Wedding Photography

When my good friend Emma called me up one morning the first line being, I’ve got something very important to ask you, are you available on 26th August because I’m getting married and really want you to photograph it? Luckily for Emma, I was available and I was truly honoured to be asked so couldn’t actually wait until the day itself.

It was a bright sunshiney day, hot and some serious blue skies going on with a little bit of cloud. Amy of the Beauty Rooms was in charge of make-up and a super job she did too - she’s great and local too. Rob my second shooter had gone photograph the groomsmen at Goat Lodge an extraordinary Folly in a really lovely village. I went to where Emma was getting ready and where the reception later on that day would be. It was great to see Emma’s parent’s, Fiona (Emma’s sister) and all the ladies from Emma’s Dublin Hen do.

So the wedding - Emma and Adam were married at the local Parish Church in Hazelwood followed by a marquee reception just up the road at Emma’s parent’s house. I love weddings like this, I loved their exit out of church with their own stamp to a ‘Guard of Honour’. The day overall was so relaxed and everyone was so, so happy, smiley and friendly. It was a magical day. Emma made the bridesmaids, flowergirls and the groomsmen’s Tweed waistcoats and lilac ties herself. Emma’s beautiful tea length dress was from Mimi Toko Bridal in Duffield town and she looked fabulous wearing it.

Wishing Emma and Adam many, many happy years of married life! xx
