Colston Bassett, Nottinghamshire - Engagement Photoshoot

A gorgeous engagement session to share today for a little change. I’ve got a few these to pop on the blog over the next month or so. One thing for sure, I do love meeting my couples for their little pre-wedding photo session. I find this kind of thing really relaxes them in front to the camera. The more they feel comfortable just chatting to me and enjoying themselves they soon forget about the camera and I just take beautiful photos. It’s certainly more relaxed than on the actual wedding day as this is just the two of you where time isn’t a factor. You can most definitely be yourselves - not that you shouldn’t be on your wedding day of course - there is a lot happening around you.

Georgie & Ryan’s wedding was planned for June 2020 but couldn’t go ahead due to the pandemic at the time. So after finally settling on a new date late summer in 2021, we got to meet up and have a little bit of fun. Georgie and Ryan picked a beautiful setting at the old church ruins in the quaint village of Colston Bassett. A part of Nottinghamshire I’d never actually heard of. It was such a glorious sunny day and they were such a great couple to work with. We really felt at ease with one another and there were plenty of smiles, giggles and a touch of romance before the session finished. We chatted for ages about the wedding day plans and it was lovely to finally meet them both. Georgie used to work with my daughter a while ago now before she herself left the company to begin a new career direction. So it was great to be asked if she could book me to be her wedding photographer :). Sometimes it is just a case of not what you know but who you know.

Here is a little selection of their engagement photoshoot.
