A Riverside Hotel, Branston Wedding - Late Autumn November Wedding

Weddings at The Riverside in Branston, Burton-Upon-Trent, Staffordshire

Hello, wow where has time gone.. I know the days are kinda flowing into one right now. I promised myself I’d keep on top of my blogging so that all you lovely visitors, have something new to look at.

Well today’s delight is a really beautiful late autumn wedding which took place just 5 miles from my home, at The Riverside Hotel which overlooks the pretty banks of the River Trent! It was a shorter day than usual as I was there to document the most important parts of Jodie and Steve’s wedding. Seriously, I don’t mind photographing shorter weddings this time of year. I work with every one of my couples to give them everything they’ve dreamt of wherever possible as there are many factors involved! Anyway, what’s important to my couple’s is very important to me and I’ll go above and beyond to achieve it!

I digress,so Jodie really didn’t want bridal preparations, nor the first dance photographing. So it was everything in between which was the important bit to them as a couple. The ceremony was at 3.30pm and would be taking place in the main ceremony room at the Riverside Hotel. I managed to capture some great shots of Steve and guests arriving beforehand. Steve’s nerve’s were definitely showing the nearer it got to 3.30pm.

Ceremony time which was a little late due to a slight dress malfunction and easily sorted, was just beautiful and emotional. Jodie’s dress was just so beautiful coupled with gorgeous Red Shoes from Irregular Choice. We then went straight into the confetti run as the autumnal light was fading fast so straight into the group photos so that guests could go back indoors, grab a drink and get warm.

I than had 20 minutes or so with Jodie and Steve on their own for some natural couple portraits. Steve was actually great at setting himself up for the camera much to mine and Jodie’s amusement. I honestly thought he as camera shy on first meeting him - evidently not!

It was then time to head back indoors for a few more family portraits and an opportunity to grab some candid shots before everyone began eating and it was time for me to leave! I had a brilliant afternoon spending it with Jodie, Steven and their family! Here’s a short slideshow showcasing their special day from my point of view plus my favourite photographs taken that afternoon.

I still have some available dates for next year and am now taking bookings for 2022 if you know anyone getting married or have recently got engaged, please share my page or put them in touch with me x x
