A Hurt Arms, Ambergate Wedding Photography
The Hurt Arms is a charming wedding venue located near my home in the wonderful county of Derbyshire. It was my first ever time photographing a wedding at the Hurt Arms. I really couldn’t wait to explore it in greater detail. A little bit about the venue (from their website)….
I was so excited when Nina and David chose me to be their wedding photographer to document the day from bridal preps to just after the speeches. We only had to reschedule the date once due to the pandemic thankfully and their celebration could go ahead as planned with all their family and friends. And I can honestly say it was such a beautiful October day where all the guests were just so wonderful. It certainly made my job a lot easier as everyone just relaxed as I was doing my thing.
I loved the fact that although it was October, the wedding party mingled outside and played the little games that were located in grassed seating area the venue has to offer. The flower girls were having lots of fun in any case. Honestly it is a super venue and the food that myself and my second shooter Ryan had was delicious and I can’t wait to do my next wedding there in April 2024.
Check out the little photo slideshow below and then see a further collection of photographs taken on the day. Whilst 95% of my work is documentary, I will do portraits and a nice relaxed couple portrait session when requested. I do try to keep everything pretty much documentary as can be.
If you’re still looking for a wedding photographer that is natural, relaxed and friendly with no cheesy poses, I may be just what you’re looking for.
