Washingborough Hall, Lincoln - Wedding Photography

December was a busy time for me wedding wise back in 2021 and I got to photograph at another new place - the gorgeous Washingborough Hall near Lincoln. It’s such a beautiful venue with very a attentive and caring wedding expert looking after everyone on the day. I just adore venues like this - warm and welcoming (with pretty gardens and great food).

So what can I say about this beautiful wedding at Washingborough Hall? Well I was working alongside the lovely Ryan Jarvis Photography so I was full on documentary really. All this means is that I’m positioned as an alternative angle for the ceremony, (rather than the front) and I just simply float around, not literally - I mean that would be cool right? This is where I grab all the candid moments as guests mingle and chat amongst themselves with people they’ve not met or haven’t seen in a while. Some guests (including the bride) had travelled from afar - America and Australia.

The ceremony had some Jewish elements to it and the Stepfather of the bride was the celebrant. It was all in all a beautiful and personal ceremony with so much love. After the ceremony it was time for photos. With December weddings you do need to get them done early on otherwise the light is lost. To be honest, it’s probably better to get them out of the way, so your guests can enjoy themselves and let their hair down, so to speak. AND, you just never know when the weather is going to turn, so if it’s dry at the time, just go for it!

I loved this wedding it was full of laughter, love and two families finally coming together to celebrate after it had all been halted due to covid. Now time to show the day through my lens!
