The Pavilion at Branston Golf & Country Club, Staffordshire

Another wedding blog from last summer (with the added bonus of this being local to me) and this time its Donna & Stephen’s fabulous day down at Branston Golf Club.

Two wonderful people, very much in love and I’m not sure I’ve ever known a couple that giggle so much. So the day started off with the bridal preparations in the summer room within the Pavilion. Prosecco, beautiful ladies and good cheer all around with dad keeping well out the way.

Rob, my amazing second shooter arrived shortly before midday to capture the guests, groomsmen and some extra details before the actual ceremony was to take place.

Donna and Stephen had opted to get married outside which was lovely as the day was warm and sunny, so a perfect choice for a summer wedding. They had an owl ring bearer, gorgeous flowers and as always Sam was there on hand every step of the way - she works so hard and is just brilliant at what she does!

I think you’ll agree that Donna’s dress was beautiful and she looked amazing in it. Not forgetting Stephen in his Tweed looking very dapper! It was just a beautiful wedding. I knew that Stephen had lined up a surprise for Donna later on that afternoon so kept a huge secret which she or many of her guests had no idea that one helicopter would be landing at the Golf Club to whisk the bride and groom away for a little fly around. Donna’s face says it all when she realised that the helicopter was just for her! She definitely enjoyed the trip as champagne flowed!

Later that evening for golden hour, we went had about 30 mins out around the golf course for the couple photos… Donna and Stephen made it so much fun - I just gave ideas of where to stand and they did the rest, it was magical as swans came to be nosy and lots and lots of laughter! Great couple and a fab wedding to photograph and be a part off. Thank you Donna and Stephen and the Venue for being so great! x

Here’s a slideshow from the day..
