Happy one year official first anniversary to Claire and Simon who held their micro wedding last June back in 2021 when covid restrictions were still in place and they’d had 2/3 postponements along the way. It hasn’t been an easy ride for the couple in arranging their wedding with one thing and another.

Claire and Simon chose to have their micro wedding at the Falcon Hotel, a 16th century Coach House in Uppingham, Rutland. If you’ve never visited Uppingham, then I certainly recommend it and perhaps grab a bite to eat at the Falcon Hotel as the food is great. It was my first visit here, to photograph a wedding at the Falcon Hotel and hope to return one day very soon.

It was lovely to document this beautiful occasion as one I got to see some familiar faces (Claire is my cousin) and finally get to meet her fiancé Simon. I was also very excited to see Claire’s wedding dress and honestly she looked flipping amazing in it.

I’m not going to write too much as I’ll just let the photos showcase this beautiful intimate wedding celebration as being a year on, my recollection of things won’t be great as I’ve done so many weddings since then. What I will say though, it was a great honour to be a part of this mini celebration and being able to share it exactly one year later! Claire and Simon held another wedding celebration just a couple of weeks ago so that more family and friends would be able to share this momentous occasion which was heavily restricted last year. I got to play guest at that one and we got to dance too.
