Wow, what a beautiful wedding to be part of in a new place down in Suffolk. Last May, I was asked to help out good friend Ryan at a wedding being held at the stunning Lanwades Hall, near Newmarket in Suffolk. It was a beautifully sunny day and with an outdoor ceremony planned, everything was just perfect!

I met up with the groom to photograph the guys getting ready. I love photographing the groom prep as much as the bridal prep and put them same emphasis on the guys as I do the grooms just less hairspray and lippy. It is generally full of laughter, confusion over tie knots and a few you tube tutorials to pull off the perfect Windsor Knot!

Lanwades Hall

“Lanwades Hall sits proudly at the end of a sweeping tree-lined driveway complete with incredible wrought-iron gates that are flanked by two mirrored gate houses, the Hall gives you a fabulous chance to really make an entrance!”

Seriously, this is a stunning venue and if I were planning a wedding I would definitely opt for Lanwades Hall. It offers pretty much everything a couple looking for in celebrating their marriage amongst friends and family in a stylish manor house tucked away in the countryside.

The Wedding & Speeches

The ceremony was held outdoors in the glorious sunshine with a spectacular view of the rear of the venue and extensive beautiful gardens. I loved the decor that the couple had chosen. The bridal party entrance was through the blooming wisteria and what a beautiful sight this is. I love wisteria and it’s a shame it only blossoms during May and early June as it is so pretty so for those planning springtime wedding in mid May are in for a treat! After the ceremony, much to the groom and guests, Amy (bride) got up to sing as a surprise. Wow it was lovely and Amy has a great voice.

The Best Men surprised the bridal party and guests with their quick change of outfits coming in as Dumb and Dumber the room was in uproar and both delivered excellent speeches. It was one great wedding to document and be a part.
