Huddersfield Wedding - Yorkshire Wedding Photography
It’s been several weeks since my last blog post - I must do better moving forwards!
Today, I’d love to share with you the beautiful wedding of Josephine and Simon.
The day started very casually with Josephine the bride and her bridesmaid at Horsfield House in Holmfirth. It was all very laid back and just allowed myself and my second shooter Rob to simply document what was going on. Josephine had chosen the cutest wedding shoes I’ve seen - comfortable, flat and Star Wars themed. I loved them! Her dress was just stunning and she looked fabulous in it.
After the bridal preps, Rob and I made our way to the church - St Paul’s at Armitage Bridge. Sadly it had already started to pour down with rain then which for an October wedding is a little hit and miss but it just didn’t stop. Despite the rain though the bride and groom never stopped smiling, can I say the father of the bride - one of the proudest men that day! That was so lovely to see. Instead of confetti we had bubbles and it was just lovely. A few formal family photos here before a couple of photos of the bride and groom at the church before heading off.
After the wedding we went back to the little town of Holmfirth, Yorkshire to the Church Hall for the reception. We had plans to re-visit Digley Reservoir but the wet and constant rain meant we had to go with plan B - straight to the reception.
They were no speeches and the wedding breakfast was Fish and Chips provided by Dodson’s - oh my, a huge favourite of mine and they tasted super fine!
The wedding cake was Jurrasic Park themed and the Top Table dedicated to no other than Hogwarts from Harry Potter! It did stop raining for a short while which Rob and I did a quick venue scout to find some ideal locations for some natural bride and groom portraits just for 10 mins or so! Star wars shoes off, Joules calf boots on.. we headed off out!
Here are my favourite images from the day in a slideshow.. enjoy!
