June already how time flies and zipping back in time to a wedding I assisted at as a second with my good friend Rob, back in December 2018.

I won’t go into too much detail as I was essentially a second so my observations were purely working in that role. I can say that the weather was beautiful on this day back in December. I’ve photographed many a wedding and this wedding was amazing with such wonderful people. Both Hannah & Frankie were huge Disney and Harry Potter fans. I loved the favours idea of a wand for everyone. Check out the cake - I’ve never seen anything like it.

So upon arrival the ladies were getting ready. I covered Hannah’s prep with Rob photographing Frankie, we did a coin toss with the couple who got who. Moving onto the ceremony where Hannah & Frankie had written their own personal vows which were beautiful. After a few couple photos in the gardens it was time for the speeches which were also full of emotion, it was certainly an emotionally charged day which I’ve captured in my usual documentary way.

So the wedding took place at the Best Western Ullesthorpe Court Hotel near Lutterworth in Leicestershire. It was my first ever time photographing here. Some guests arrived in Harry Potter attire and I am a huge Harry Potter fan… so for me this wedding was simply perfect. Not sure about Nagini the snake featuring under the top table but I guess he is a big part of the story. If you’ve never watched or read Harry Potter, it’s definitely worth checking out. I’m not a snake fan and I know lots of people who aren’t spider fans and there were definitely fake spiders… I do love spiders though! Anyway here is a selection showcasing this wonderful wedding as seen through my eyes.
