Happy New Year - it's 2019!
Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all had a great festive break and are now back into the swing of things?
I’ve fallen a little behind on blogging right now - so I’d better get back on track pronto! I will get these 2017 weddings blogged someday very soon and I must say it’s getting there very slowly!
Today’s wedding that I’m sharing took place at Packington Moor Farm near Lichfield in Staffordshire. Sadly the venue closed its doors to its last wedding on 23rd December 2017. Such a shame really as it truly was a stunning venue (ok the ceremony room lighting could be challenging depending on the lighting outdoors) but otherwise it was perfect! A venue perfect for a rural Lichfield wedding with freedom to explore the great outdoors and beautifully tendered gardens. Barn doors for epic backdrops as well as crop fields! As a Staffordshire wedding photographer, it was a lovely local venue!
It was a bright sunshiney day in the middle of September and I love September weddings, the weather always seems just perfect! I arrived at the barn to begin photographing the bride mid morning as I love to be there at least 2 hours before the start of the actual wedding ceremony. My second photographer, Rob would arrive later to photograph the groom arriving along with guests.
It was such a giggle being with the girls as they got ready. Amazing reactions especially with the mother of the bride in trying to get a laugh out of her daughter by saying - ‘oh just think of sex’… we were in stitches and the bride surprised as her mum is quite shy! It was great to be there and taking photos as all this was happening in a relaxing way. It was comfortable and it was fun.
As the ceremony got underway, the groom was full of emotion as Vicki his bride made her step closer to where he was waiting and together Rob and I captured some real emotion of two people in love! Anyway, it was a great wedding and I’ll shut up and let the story unfold below:-
