Donington Park Farmhouse Wedding Photography - Leicestershire

Another exciting wedding to share. It would be my second time photographing another fab wedding at the Donington Park Farmhouse. If you are planning a wedding and haven’t yet decided on a venue, please go and check this one out once you’ve read my blog!!

So here we have my next wedding to cast out into the net universe hoping that any a bride or groom will see it and just absolutely fall in love with it and my style. I can honestly say this wedding was just so much fun. A bride with purple hair, awesome tattoos and a cheeky groom a fantabulous quirky couple who I just adored working with, alongside the venue of course! It wasn’t even disappointing that it rained and rained for pretty much most of the day but we did get a gap of around 40 mins for the group and couple photos outside. Yay bravo on the much needed weather break. It didn’t dampen spirits once. You know what, I adore that in a couple - it really doesn’t matter what the weather does. You can’t control it (sadly), BUT you can absolutely work with it!

For me, as a documentary wedding photographer, I just get stuck in and photograph what’s happening around me. Guest smiles and belly laughter, those hugs, the drinking, the many conversations and reactions to the cake and canapé eating I seem to have eyes everywhere!! It really is just an incredible job to have!

Morning preps is where it all started. My photographer friend Julie came over to help me for the day where she covered the groom preps and guest arrivals whilst I concentrated on the bridal prep, room decor and everything else. Julie is such a great help and her photos are just fab! The preps with the girls were so much fun. I don’t think we stopped laughing well not until it was time to walk up the aisle then it was smiles followed by more laughter. What a wedding.

It rained a lot…. but we didn’t care to be honest we were having such a great time mingling with the guests until it was time to sit down and eat. OMG the speeches - flipping hilarious! For saying the groom and the best man hadn’t planned to say much prior to the wedding, that certainly changed and great that it did as there was laughter everywhere!

It did stop raining so off we went for the family photos and a little down time for Kirsty and Chris for some fun couple portraits.

Then it was time to party where the couple’s friend provided the evening band and entertainment in the form of a Ceilidh Band. So much dancing and fun and it was great to photograph.

Enough of my ramblings… here’s the wedding in photo slideshow form followed by some additional images from this fun wedding.
