Bassmead Manor Barns in Cambridgeshire

It’s Sunday and I’m just getting through some admin work and of course getting my blog updated with more beautiful weddings. It’s not all weddings that I’ll be showcasing, I’ll start and share my other lifestyle and theatre stuff too :). Today, I thought I’d share this rather beautiful wedding I worked at over at Bassmead Manor Barns, near St Neots over in Cambridgeshire. It was my first visit there and I hope it won’t be the last! A truly stunning and unique wedding venue. This was also my first journey into Cambridgeshire to shoot a wedding! I was also working alongside Ryan Jarvis Photography.

About Bassmead Manor Barns - A little extract from their website.

“A unique and romantic barn wedding venue in Cambridgeshire, Bassmead Manor Barns is steeped in history while also boasting contemporary spaces for your celebration. Bursting with character and elegance and with landscaped gardens and accommodation, it’s the perfect choice.

Walk through characterful stable doors into the 300-year-old Rickety Barn for your civil ceremony. With original solid oak beams, wooden floors and wrought-iron chandeliers, it boasts an aura of serenity and romance, the ambience highlighted by twinkling fairy lights. Lovingly restored for your special day, it also includes modern touches such underfloor heating and a music system.”

It is a truly beautiful venue and I thoroughly loved working there.

A little surprise was instore for the guests after dinner… a great performance from one singing waiter who had all the guests on their feet enjoying great music, lively dancing and a spot of the Conga. Very entertaining to watch and photograph and great seeing guests all enjoying themselves, dancing, smiling and singing along on a day of such a joyous occasion.

The images I have blogged is my view as a documentary wedding photographer (which is about 95% of the time, with a little allowance for some more natural couple portraits).
