I’ve been longing to share this fabulous wedding I photographed alongside main photographer, George Krousti back in the summer of 2019. If there is one thing I love, it’s a dog owning couple just mad about their dogs which just happened to be pugs.

With George covering the bridal preparations I headed off to the groom. On arrival I found the place empty but then the groom arrived with breakfast to go in a brown paper bag along with his best man and usher.

While they chilled out, I grabbed the details shots. I’m always wanting to be creative whether I’m doing bridal or the groom prep. We had polishing of shoes, ironing of shirts as well as not forgetting the all important bags and stuff oh and the groom of course.

The Ceremony Venue

The couple had chosen to get married at the Catholic Church of Annunciation in Chesterfield town. I’ve never been here before and was made to feel most welcome by Rev. Father A.P.I. Tomlinson STL. VFRev. I was given the guided tour and the all important do’s and don’ts. A beautiful ceremony throughout and despite the weather, as it was pouring down sadly, everyone was in high spirits and looking forward to the wedding.

Once the vows and signing were done, I left the church (as George was there and I’d just get in the way really with the weather being a tad yuk and headed over to the reception venue the other side of Chesterfield.

Venue Two - The Peacock Inn at Cutthorpe, Derbyshire

Once here, I spotted the gigantic tipi and anyone who knows me, knows I love a tipi wedding. It’s outdoors but indoors! Works better when the sun is out but still be it rain or shine, the party can still go ahead and it is always fun. Plus, it can’t rain all day surely? There are intermittent breaks they just have to be perfectly timed!

It was also my first time photographing a wedding in this part of Derbyshire at the Peakcock Inn, Cutthorpe and I’d love to go back there again and have George as my second photography perhaps?. I’m a huge fan of the Peaks and dales within Derbyshire, it is such a pretty and vast area that is so photogenic. Every wedding is extremely special and unique though.

The good news, I’m going to stop rambling on here hehe. The rain did stop, people did get to spend time outdoors, we got a confetti shot and gorgeous photos of the bride and groom in a lovely relaxed manner - perfect. The party was awesome fun as you will see from the photos. If you read this far, thank you.
