A Glade in the Forest at Rosliston Wedding

A fun wedding at The Glade in the Forest with a gigantic soft play slide, bell tents and horses. What would there be not to love? It was my second visit at this super local wedding venue to me to photograph a wedding. As it’s a little different to the usual venues locally, it is very popular as it is surrounded by forestry plus the marquee is a blank canvas for couples to inject their personalities to make it their very own. The lawns are great for outdoors party games and going off for couple portraits in the forest is an extra added bonus, naturally.

I was really happy when Letitia contacted me to document her ceremony and candids of her summer outdoor wedding. What could possibly go wrong? Well to be honest, nothing went wrong, just the weather decided to open up the heavens as the nuptials were about to start. All made for some great photos though - everyone reaching for umbrellas and some darting off inside the spacious onsite marquee.

So going back to the beginning of the day before the rain came, Tom the groom arrived in a fabulous Red Convertible Porsche - I do love a Porsche! It looked fun to drive I’ll say that, definitely a car I’d love to take a spin in. I wasn’t needed for the bridal preps as Letitia’s close friend was photographing that part so I did the guests arriving and the wonderful pair and carriage getting ready to collect the bridal party. Two dapple grey horses with beautiful white ostrich feathers and a black carriage also looked amazing. Both the bridesmaids and bride arrived in style. AND…. yes the rain may well have set in but it didn’t stop Leticia or Tom from smiling. What can you do? You can’t control the weather right? Anyway a beautiful ceremony, lots of tears and laughter and a good spirited Mr & Mrs. So, we missed out on a confetti shot - it’s just one of those things. It can also be a challenge getting great candids inside a marquee but I don’t really think of it as that, I chat, shoot and make the most of every opportunity. Eventually the rain did ease and the kids were finally able to play on the gigantic slide, all the outdoor games, giant football being the firm favourite and just chilling out in the bell tent.

I was only commissioned for a few hours so left the party early before the wedding breakfast was served by the super Saffron Catering but by all accounts it was a great wedding and Leticia looked fabulous in her wedding dress.

So I won’t keep tying stuff for the sake of it, so if you’re planning a wedding at The Glade in The Forest in Rosliston and looking for a local wedding photographer, then please do get in touch for a bespoke quotation I’d be more than happy to chat with you. In the meantime, check out the photo slideshow and more images of Letitia & Tom’s summer outdoor wedding.
