A beautiful Ticknall Wedding - Derbyshire

When you accidentally delete your draft post forgetting to save it and have to retype the whole thing out again… Oh well!

So I thought I’d share an older wedding of mine that was photographed a few years ago now but remains a firm favourite - I just did a re-edit to match my current style.

My day began with the bride photographing the preparations. The girls were very relaxed and enjoying some pampering as they sat having their hair done by Tip Top Hair Design based at The Ferrer’s Centre. The bride’s elegant, yet simple wedding gown was from the fabulous Pronovias - just check them out as there collections are just gorgeous. My second photographer Steve, met up with the guys at the Wheel Inn, in Ticknall (sadly this pub is now closed) before heading off to the parish church of St George. This would be my first time photographing a wedding at St George’s Ticknall. It is such a beautiful church.

The bride arrived on time with her father in a sporty MG in racing green, belonging to her now husband. I must say it was a beautiful car. I just love old classic and vintage cars. Stepping out of that car, she looked just fabulous.

After the ceremony it was time to head over to the couple’s home for their marquee reception. Lots going on with guests all smiling and chatting away, meeting up with family members not seen in ages - you know how it goes with weddings. The kids playing games and generally having a great time with the adults drinking beer and the fizzy stuff, naturally, as you do! Then it was time for the speeches…. hehehe and I’ve got to say the Best Man’s speech was very funny. Then it was party time with a beautifully choreographed first dance to start the dancing mood off - then it was dance like no-one is watching. My evening drew to a close after the fireworks. I loved every bit of this wedding and was so happy to be a part of such a memorable day. Here’s a short slideshow of my favourite images.

Now a little selection of images taken from the day. If you’re planning a beautiful village wedding and need a wedding photographer, let’s have a chat?
